Thursday, November 29, 2007 So, finally here to blog. Well, lots of things to talk about. First things first, went out with Li hui to distribute flyers into mailbox today. had fun lol. salary is $5 /1000 pieces and we gave out 8000 pieces. so it is $20 each. hahas =D Lesson of the day, don't be surprise if you ever opened up your mailbox and find 50 flyers in it. it is normal. also, if you had extra paper to thrown away, don't forget the recycle bin. haha =D Next, Subject Combination Results. Subject combination results were out, hoping to get into A, but got into C instead. Quite disappointed actually at first. Cause you see, in order for one to take any one of the three sciences ( Biology, Physic, Chemistry) in Junior College, one must have at least a combined or pure science of it. In simple terms it means that if you wanna continue for example Biology in Junior College, you must have at least a combined biology or pure biology in secondary school. So what I was thinking is that if I did not get into Combination A, I will not be able to take all three sciences during my time in Junior College as the rest of the combinations only offers up to two sciences. In other words, i will not be able to further my knowledge of all three sciences as I will only be taking two sciences. So when I did not get into combination A, I was sad, yup, sad la. So I did some "research" and I found out that it is not the end of the world if i really can't get into combination A. ;) Cause in JC you will have 7 subjects, namely English, Project Work, Chinese, and other four subjects you will choose yourself. English, Project Work and Chinese are compulsory, unless you are a higher Chinese student like me, then you might get to don't take Chinese in JC. So if you are taking the science course in JC, then you will have to choose 3 science subjects and 1 contrasting subject, which means another subject from the Arts course. Same thing applies, if you are taking the Arts Course, (which I am not intending to take ) you will have to choose 3 Arts Subjects and 1 Science subject. So what I was thinking is that if I were to take the science course, I will get to choose all the three sciences. but I was wrong. cause out of the three options I have got for science, I need to choose mathematics, compulsory subject. so in other words, I will only get to choose 2 sciences when I reach JC. and I started thinking la, what's the point for me to take up all three sciences when I had to let go one of the sciences when I reach JC. and also if I were to take up combination C, I will also get to choose economy as my contrasting subject. So such a 一举两得 (yi ju liang de) deal, why am I pushing it away? So after much consideration I decided to take up combination C lol. lame? I don't think so. hahas =) bye. P/s: Hahas~ Just changed my blog song from That's where you find love of Westlife to A Public Affair by Jessica Simpson. Enjoy. xD |
